Chinese acrobat show is one of the famous tourist spot in Beijing. There are several acrobat show team, and they are supported by Chinese government. All of the team provides high quality show. Here are some major acrobat theaters’ information!





Chaoyang Theater


Chaoyang Theater was founded in 1984, and soon became a popular tourist place. More than three million foreign tourists have visited over twenty years. The theater is composed of three sections, and they covers an area of 3,000 sqm. “Flying Acrobat Show” is one of the newest and most popular show in the theater. Ticket price ranges between 120 USD – 500 USD. It seems expensive, but it is definitely worth paying! In addition, shows are provided every day, so it is easy for tourists to make a plan.

Currently, Chaoyang Theater provides nine types of programs: Flying acrobat show, Diabolo, Bicycle acrobatics, Disk Rotating, Circles jumping, Bowl kicking, Huge spring board, Contortion and Loops of death.



Tianquao Acrobat Theater

It is the oldest theater in Beijing, so if you like Chinese history and tradition, this is where you must check! While shows are composed by Chinese traditional techniques, they are also inspired by fork arts. Tickets ranges between 75 USD – 240 USD per person, and you can book it online.

Their current program is called “Magic Music Box”. This is a story that one girl experiences a thrilling adventure. The show includes: Diabolo, handstand, somersault, mid-air skills.



Tiandi Theater



Tiandi Theater was founded in 1950, and it was the first acrobat team that was approved by Chinese government officially. The theater provides one of the most high quality and innovative performance in Beijing. It has over 200 performers. Tickets ranges between 100 USD – 550 USD. Performances include: integrate acrobats, dance drama and kangfu.

Its program is called “China National Acrobatic Troop”. It is composed by more than thirteen sections, and each of them is high quality. Another point that tourist should check is their fancy costumes.

Festivals


Beijing Longqing Gorge, is an area located between two tall mountain peaks where its known for its venue as the annual Ice & Snow Festival.  Among other things related to snow and ice, massive blocks of ice are sculpted into all manner of interesting, beautiful and sometimes spectacular shapes, including representations of animals (including mythical ones such as dragons), human figures and lanterns. Among the ice-art works are a number of fixtures such as the Peacock Welcoming Springtime (Kongqueyingchun), the Soaring Dragon (Longteng), the Smiling Face (Xinchunxiaokaiyan) and Nature's Annual Revival (Wangxianggengxin). Besides the ice sculptures that can be admired here, there are fireworks ceremonies, folk dancing, and pageants. In addition, there are other nearby ice sports activities separate from the sculptural exhibits, such as ice fishing.
The Beijing Longqing Gorge Ice & Snow Festival, which, at night, is illuminated by a flood of colorful lights, is held each year from the 15th of January through the 29th of February. During the rest of the winter season, the area is closed to tourists, but opens for the summer-autumn season (April 10th to November 15th), where the gorge is known for, among other things, its bungee jumps.

The Bird's Nest Ice and Snow Festival

The Bird's Nest Ice and Snow Festival is a Disney princess theme festival, using the US$423 million Beijing Olympic venue — the Bird's Nest.
For this festival the National Stadium has worked together with the Disney company and made a dream world of "Disney Princesses". The charming 2,000 square meters incorporates the most up-to-date technology and effects.
The dream world presents seven Disney princesses with carefully orchestrated exhibition areas: Mermaid Submarine Dream Concert, Midnight Party of Cinderella, Floating Projection of Beauty and the Beast, Snow White Interactive Area, Tangled Castle, Lamp of Aladdin Interactive Area, and Sleeping Beauty Photos Area. 
Activities in the main festival area include a cartoon snow castle, ice dancing performances, ice skating, ice bumper cars, a snow ball fight contest, a snow maze, snow games, and snow mine warfare.

Beijing International Peach Blossom Music Festival

Beijing's Pinggu District is the world's largest peach blossom area which covers a land area of 220,000 mu (14,674 hectares). It was elected as one of the top ten destination in the world for viewing flowers.
Beijing International Peach Blossom Music Festival has been held in Beijing's Pinggu District for 14 years attracting numerous visitors from around the world.
Activities in 2013's festival include dancing, sports, folk customs, a romantic music week, and a romantic film week, and of course enjoying the smell and sight of millions of blossoming trees.

Beijing Changdian Temple Fair

For visitors who want to have an authentic northern Chinese festival experience, the Changdian Temple Fair is a vibrant, energetic celebration that welcomes Chinese and foreigners alike. Like most temple fairs, this festival celebrates the coming of Chinese New Year.
The area around Changdian used to house three different Buddhist temples, so this fair was one of the largest temple fairs in Beijing. Even though the temples are not in the area anymore, the large festival has remained, and isone of the most beloved temple fairs in Beijing.

Beijing 798 Art Festival

Beijing 798 art zone, as one of China's main centers for cutting edge contemporary art, is located on Jiuxianqiao Road, Dashanzi Area, Chaoyang District. It has a total construction area of 230,000 square meters assembling many cultural elements such as galleries, design studios, art exhibition spaces, artists' studios and fashion shops, etc. In the 798 Art Zone run nearly 400 institutions including galleries, artists' private studios, cultural companies like animated cartoon, television media, publishing, design and consultation from home and abroad. Currently 798 Art Zone has developed into an exhibition center of Chinese culture and art, and an influential cultural creative concentration area at home and abroad.

“One World One Dream” – Beijing Olympics 2008

Basic Infomation

Beijing Olympic was taken place from August 8 to 24 in Chinese capital city Beijing. Beijing was echosed as a host country over Paris, London, Osaka and Istanbul. Beijing was the first Olympic host city in China.
Atheists from 204 countries and regions visited Beijing to participate in 28 kinds of sports.


"Dancing Beijing" Emblem and Official Mascots called "Fuwa". 
Each mascot represents the color of Olympics.
Also, if we combine their names, it will be "Bei Jing Huan Ying Ni (Welcome yo Beijing)"



The Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony started on August 8,
2008 at 8:00pm (China standard time). The ceremony was 4 hours long. The ceremony was composed of Chinese ancient culture and modern technology with over 15,000 performers.  It amazed people in all over the world. (http://youtu.be/JsDY1Ha83M8)

Medals and Sports

Medals show Chinese history and Olympic's identity. China used jade as one of the material.




Even though China does not have national sports, Table Tennis is one of the popular sports in the country. In fact, all gold medalists in Table Tennis matches were all Chinese athletes. 

In addition, Kai Zou who is a Chinese gymnastics athlete attained three gold medals. He is one of the top medalists of the Olympics.  
  




Closing Ceremony

The Closing Ceremony was taken place August 24, 2008 at 8:00 pm (Chinese Standard Time). 
Besides Chinese traditional performances, many artists from the United Kingdom which was the next Olympic host country performed at the stage.
